Joseph Leykam Consulting

What people say about the work…

Joe makes a difference in the lives of others. He was a critical leader in the development of our mental health program in the Corvallis School District. His understanding of mental health and Medicaid allowed us to better support the kids in our community.
— Ryan, Superintendent
One of Joe’s greatest strengths is his willingness to speak directly to difficult situations. He doesn’t shy away from the tough conversations that need to happen—he leans in with honesty, courage, and a deep commitment to doing what’s right. Because of his leadership, we’ve been able to confront systemic challenges and build stronger, more effective support networks for our students.
— CJ, Educatinoal Leader
Joe is a true visionary—creative, open-minded, and always seeing the bigger picture. He has an exceptional ability to collaborate with others, turning ideas into reality. His charismatic presence fosters strong relationships, and he truly values the connections he builds with those around him.
— Martha, Mental Health Manager
As the Student Services Director at Central Linn School District, I can confidently say that consulting with Leykam Consulting for our Medicaid implementation was a transformative experience. From the beginning, Joe Leykam’s personal approach set him apart—he took the time to thoroughly understand our district’s unique challenges, especially given our rural setting. Through thoughtful collaboration, he identified the key barriers we were facing and provided innovative, tailored solutions that made all the difference.
— Rachel, Eductinoal Leader

Leading change through action in health, education, and social services

OUR MISSION

Leykam Consulting works to strengthen healthcare, education, and social services by advancing equity, expanding access, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for all.

Strategies and supports to fit your needs.

Every system shift begins with a challenge. In healthcare, education, and social service settings, leaders face the daily work of responding to real needs with limited capacity. Effective solutions are not just creative. They are rooted in context, shaped by relationships, and built to last. The way you structure your next initiative can shape meaningful outcomes for the people you serve. I invite you to partner with me in this work, bringing clarity, alignment, and momentum to the change you are leading.

Building skills and strengthening critical thinking within staff communities is essential to the daily work of human-serving organizations. Leykam Consulting offers both ready-to-use training options and custom-built solutions shaped to fit your team. Each approach is grounded, practical, and aligned with your organizational goals. Let’s work together to design the kind of professional development that supports growth, clarity, and lasting change.

Leaders in healthcare, education, and social services are under constant pressure to achieve more with limited resources. Developing strong, adaptive, and diverse leadership is critical, but often overlooked in the rush of daily demands. Leykam Consulting offers leadership coaching that develops practical skills, enhances decision-making, and helps leaders remain connected to both their mission and the people they serve. We work alongside you to grow leadership that is thoughtful, grounded, and ready for the real challenges ahead.

Therapeutic Services

Effective care begins where relationships and brain science meet. In my psychotherapy practice, I work to help people find effective solutions for their daily stress and discontent. In addition to individual therapy, I also provide couples and family work to help improve relationships. I also support individuals navigating stress, burnout, and relational strain, especially those working in human service systems. When friction shows up in your personal or professional life, we work together to find a path forward. My clinical services are practical, trauma-informed, and tailored to each person I work with.
